Cuizy — Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Cuizy ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Cuizy generates personalized weekly dinner plans, recipes, and grocery lists based on preferences you provide (grocery store, budget, cooking skill, time available, household size, allergies, dietary restrictions, appliances, and food preferences). Recipe and meal plan content is generated using artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude API) based on your inputs.

Cuizy currently generates one meal per day (dinner). It does not currently provide full-day (breakfast/lunch/dinner) meal coverage.

Grocery price estimates are based on a manually curated, periodically updated price reference table for select Montreal-area grocery stores, and are estimates only — actual prices at any store may vary from what Cuizy displays.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Cuizy.

4. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information, including accurate dietary restrictions and allergy information, as Cuizy relies on this information to generate suitable meal plans.

5. Subscription & Billing

  • Cuizy offers a free tier (limited to one meal plan generation per month) and a paid subscription tier.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly ($7.99 CAD) or annually ($59.99 CAD), auto-renewing until cancelled.
  • Payment is processed by Stripe. Cuizy does not store your full payment card information.
  • No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods. If you cancel, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, after which your subscription will not renew.
  • Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: attempt to bypass rate limits or usage caps; use automated tools to create multiple accounts or abuse the free tier; attempt to access other users' data; interfere with the Service's operation or security; or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

7. Important Disclaimer: Dietary Restrictions and Allergies

Cuizy uses AI-generated content combined with an automated safety-checking layer designed to avoid suggesting ingredients that conflict with the allergies and dietary restrictions you provide. However, Cuizy is not a substitute for your own judgment, especially regarding severe or life-threatening allergies. You are responsible for reviewing every recipe and ingredient list before shopping for or preparing any meal, and for consulting a medical professional regarding any serious dietary or allergy condition. Cuizy and its operator are not liable for any adverse reaction, illness, or harm resulting from reliance on generated meal plans or recipes.

8. Intellectual Property

Cuizy's branding, design, and underlying software are the property of Cuizy's operator. Recipes and meal plans generated for your account are provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

9. Third-Party Services

Cuizy relies on the following third-party services to operate, each with their own terms and privacy practices: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Anthropic (AI-generated recipe content), Cloudflare (bot/security protection), and Resend (transactional email delivery).

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy of pricing estimates, nutritional information, or recipe suitability. Cuizy does not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cuizy's operator's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid Cuizy in the 3 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Cuizy's operator may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec.

14. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
